Frequently Asked Questions
What does the IVF cost include? Are medications billed separately?
IVF costs are typically split into "procedure fees" and "medication costs." Procedure fees cover monitoring ultrasounds, blood tests, the egg retrieval procedure, embryology lab work, and embryo transfer. Medications (injectable stimulation drugs) are usually billed separately, ranging from $4,000–$7,000 depending on your response. Optional add-ons like PGT genetic testing and ICSI are additional costs. Your HRC coordinator will provide a personalized cost estimate at your first consultation.
Does HRC offer refund guarantees or multi-cycle packages?
Yes. HRC offers multi-cycle IVF packages and a Shared Risk (refund guarantee) program. The Shared Risk program is designed for qualifying patients: if all embryo transfers are completed without a live birth, a substantial portion of fees is refunded. Multi-cycle packages let you complete 2-3 IVF cycles at a bundled discount — saving up to 30% compared to paying per cycle. See our Packages page for details, or contact an HRC coordinator to check your eligibility.
How do international patients handle payments?
International patients typically pay out-of-pocket. HRC can provide a bilingual (English/Chinese) Cost Estimate Letter to help you plan your budget or seek reimbursement from your employer or overseas insurer. We accept international wire transfer and major credit cards (Visa/Mastercard/Amex). We recommend contacting us through the online consultation form before your visit so we can prepare a detailed cost breakdown for you.
Does applying for medical financing require a US credit history?
Most US medical financing companies (such as Prosper Healthcare Lending and CapexMD) require a US Social Security Number (SSN) and US credit history, making them generally inaccessible to international patients. If you are in the US on a work visa with an established credit history, you may qualify. For international patients, the main payment routes are wire transfer or credit card — or consider a Shared Risk package to manage financial risk.
